P.C.T. :: Upcoming Rapper From UK

Patrick Coleridge-Taylor, of Finsbury Park, North London, a.k.a up-and-coming rapper / producer / music industry entrepreneur P.C.T was born in Archway, North London on December 1st 1983. He started to produce tracks in 1998, began rapping in 2001 and established Danger Money Records in 2003. His musical style is very unique and consists of great songwriting, intoxicating hooks, powerful drum patterns and engaging melodies / harmonies. There isn't anything that sounds even remotely similar to his truly incredible music, which really has to be heard to be believed. Many artists have inspired him, including Timbaland, Michael Jackson, Slick Rick, Swizz Beatz, The Neptunes, Prince, Dr. Dre, Lil Jon, Kate Bush, Outkast, Notorious B.I.G, Adam Ant, O.D.B, Tupac, Run-DMC, Nas, Bob Marley, DMX, Busta Rhymes, Jimmi Hendrix, Radiohead, Ludacris, Jay-Z, James Brown, Linkin Park, Elephant Man and P.Diddy, amongst others.

P.C.T genuinely intends to do big things, and is serious about taking the game to the next level: "At the end of the day, the D.Js who support us now will become part of our future When it comes to us, this is more than just music... This track is a banger, but it\'s only the tip of the iceberg and just a taster of what\'s to come..."

Desmond McLeod, a.k.a up-and-coming Producer D-Nice was born in Hammersmith, London on April 21st 1982 and now lives in Hackney, London. He first got into music when he started rapping / performing as part of a group six years ago. He then began to D.J before he started producing. D-Nice is a true Hip-Hop head, and it shows in his list of influences which includes people such as Timbaland, Whodini, Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaata and KRS-One, amongst others. This is also reflected in his energetic / powerful / soulful music, as D-Nice likes to experiment with different sounds / ideas, seen as he was inspired by music from a very young age and has a great knowledge of it as a result.

D-Nice is very focused and has a very professional attitude as far as his music is concerned: "Music really is our only way forward because being young, black, male and from the streets has made it almost impossible for us to get far within society / the employment world on our own merit alone. I\'ve also got a son, and I just want him to live comfortably and know that I\'m doing something positive whilst being a good role model to him as well as inspiring others. Music\'s just in my nature and that\'s why I do this."

Nathan Linsay, a.k.a up-and-coming rapper / producer Strategy was born in Central London on February 25th 1984 and first got into music seven years ago by attending his friends' studio sessions and showcases, but he only really began to get serious with it two years ago. Having been inspired by Rza of the Wu-Tang Clan, Strategy has developed his own sound / style, which he describes as being both lyrically unique and honest.

Strategy is very driven and knows how much competition there is within the music industry: "The most favoured job out there isn't one in urban music, but black music... but I\'m not one of these artists just following fashion or copying whoever is doing big things, I\'ve been doing this since Phoebe One first came out and tore it up. I just want to challenge people both lyrically and musically whilst showing them that we\'re not one of these groups who are doing music just for the sake of it. This is our life."

D-Nice and Strategy have been friends since childhood, and they met P.C.T through a mutual friend in 2005. This track, "Block To The Bar (D-Nice featuring P.C.T and Strategy), is their first collaboration. All dj-league members can download it at the dj-league promopool.
